Yealm Estuary To Moor

A community partnership creating wildlife corridors.

Support Us

The YEM Project aims to make the Yealm river and its catchment more resilient to future changes in the climate by restoring and re-connecting this beautiful and precious wildlife habitat. We have a network of community groups along the catchment who are invested in their local environment but for the Project to make progress we will need the help of volunteers – and many hands makes light work!

Volunteering may take the many forms: -

  • Collecting tree seeds or growing tree seedlings
  • Becoming a scientist through our Citizen Science projects, by sampling river water or surveying land habitats
  • Joining working parties to plant trees and hedgerows
  • Alerting us to areas could be considered by the Project

Or, you can help by simply making a donation towards funding the equipment and expert advice the project needs.  If you would like to make a donation straight to our bank account, the details are as follows:
A/C Name: YEM,
Sort Code: 30-98-97,
A/C No.: 86061262

Either way you can be part of the future in ensuring the resilience of our local river and surrounding wildlife habitats.
